10 Things from my Bucket List

Today’s blog is 10 things from my bucket list. I absolutely love making lists, and my bucket list is my favorite list I have ever made. I am constantly adding to it and improving it. I think having a bucket list is important, because it gives me something to look forward to. It is also helps me be a dreamer and come up with new things that I hope to someday have the chance to see or do.

1. Kiss in the rain.

I honestly want to relive one of the kissing in the rain scenes from all those amazing romantic movies. I would probably end up laughing the whole time, but I think it would make a great memory. This one might be a struggle for me, because I do not enjoy standing in the rain and I hate being wet and cold.

2.Say “Yes” to everything for a day.

I am a little nervous about this one, but I think it could be really fun. I feel like I do not always give things a chance, and this would make me more open to new ideas. I would not tell anyone what I was doing though, because my friends/family would end up having me clean their houses and doing all kinds of dumb things.

3.Ride a Gondola in Venice.

This is actually something I really want to do one day. I think it would be beautiful and I could see so much culture from being in Venice. I always try to find ideas that involve traveling to add to my bucket list.

4.Eat a hotdog in New York.

I was actually in New York this past summer and I did not cross this one off my list. I guess I forgot that it was something that I had planned to do. I always see people buying food from street vendors in movies, and I think this would be fun to do.

5.Take a random weekend trip to the beach.

I think it would be so fun to just go away to the beach for a weekend and make no plans. I am not a very spontaneous person, so I think this would make me really live in the moment.

6.Pet a penguin.

One of my best friends went to Sea World last year and paid to pet penguins. She sent me pictures of it and she looked so happy. I think it would just be something fun to do that I would not be able to do all of the time.

7.Run a half marathon.

I am not much of a runner, but running makes me feel so much healthier and clears my head. I always feel much more productive on days that I go for a run. I think running a half marathon would force myself to train and become a better runner. Plus, it would be something that I could say I did for myself.

8.Visit the Redwood Forest.

This is something that my dad really wants to do. I think a trip to San Francisco and to see the Redwood Forest with my family would be amazing. It would be a chance to bond with my family while enjoying the beauties of nature.

9.Ride in a horse-drawn carriage.

I might be a hopeless romantic, but I think this would be so fun. I always see it in movies and I dream that I will do it one day. Even if I do not do it with someone I love, I think it would still be fun to ride in one with a friend or even by myself.

10.Go apple picking.

This one seems really simple, but I think it would be an interesting experience. I do not even know where any apple orchards are, but I would like to find one. I went strawberry picking with my family two years ago and it was so fun. We made a day out of going to a local farm and gathering strawberries. It just made me look at them different when I knew that they were fresh and I picked them myself. I also love this idea, because it allows people to support farmers and local businesses instead of just buying fruit from the shelves in a grocery store.
